Strange, but True

Well, not that strange, really.

I went into a clothing store, tried on a few items, picked out what I wanted and then paid full retail price.

People do it all the time, whether they need what they get or not.

I went back to Pennington's and bought two T-shirts. Nice ones. I actually tried on a few styles to pick out the best fitting one. This time the link goes right to it!
The website doesn't show the colours, unfortunately--but I'm pretty sure you can all visualize red and lilac!

And you know, the success of yesterday and today is the result of Wardrobe Therapy last fall. I knew exactly what I wanted and I didn't even bother with anything lime green, orange or shell pink. I already have a perfectly good black t-shirt, so that decision was made, too. It doesn't matter when we do WT, whether it's the "right time" in the retail season, 'cause WT isn't about shopping. It's about being equipped. And we are.

So, for at least two days of our vacation, I'll look good!

Wow. Tops, too. (Tops, two, too.)

Very well done. I played click the color on the link -- too bad that clicking the red showed me an orange tee, but hmmm... that gives me ideas. I've been wanting something orange...

Well done my friend!

Just caught up with the last few. Good job! And brava for buckling down to do it! I never thought I could be so happy at the news that someone I've never met bought a T-shirt...

Thank you, both. A lot. More than I can say. Your encouragement and joy on my behalf is...is...wonderful, touching, encouraging. Why must words fail when we most need them?

So that's how it works is it? Your experience is very encouraging. I'm still at the stage of "Go into a clothing store, try on fifty items, find one I quite like, look at the price tag and think I can't possibly pay full retail price on clothing for me. Leave."

It's really great that your success is a result of the hard work you put in on WT. Well done!

Yes, well, it isn't like I'm going to do this every day, now. A few times a year will be quite enough.

Ha, that's great! I'm still at Zooza's stage as well but it's nice to hear that it can be done! I'm glad you've found the right stuff for you before your trip (clearly, the perfect excuse to get the right stuff. now I just need to go on a trip, I guess). Congrats!

May I quote you? And brava for doing it!

Some things, you just have to buy at full retail because they will never go on sale in season and with the full range of sizes.

Wende--I was hoping you would.

Honestly, I'm feeling inspired now. You make me want to go equip myself with everything I've been putting off (until it goes on sale and is then out of stock, of course). Too bad I had to buy tires today instead. I guess that's why they invented Windows shopping...
