Tortoise like Progress

They worked hard at it all weekend.

The back wall has been finished for a while. Still need to fix a hole in the ceiling in the left hand corner, there.

Both kids fixed tile to the exterior wall. We're not exactly sure how we went crooked. That orange peaking from the top is kerdie. At least the horizontal lines match in the interior corner.

Unfortunately, we can't say the same for the plumbing wall. Daedalus figures the wall just wasn't flat enough. Don't know. Almost don't care. This project has just about beaten out of me every last ounce of perfectionism I may have ever had.
We may be ready to grout on Thursday. Or Friday. Or whenever.
I need to pick a colour to paint this south facing bathroom with bad lighting. I'd like to pick up on the colours in this tile over by the sink:
Any suggestions?
I'm liking the light green over by the seahorses head--but it may make a bath mat etc., hard to find.

That green would be a very nice paint color. You could use the royal blue as your accents for bath mats and things like that. Good luck finishing up!

I hate to be the voice of negativity, because I love how hard you've worked on this bathroom...but green is usually not a great colour for a bathroom. I always discourage my clients from using it, because, with very few exceptions, green tends to make you look a bit 'green' when you look in the mirror! It's not a great colour for a room where you're going to put on makeup, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I love green! My whole main floor is green! But it's a bit risky in the bathroom. Could you do either the yellow or the blue from the tiles? (which are fabulous, by the way!)

Ugh. I had the same uneasiness about the green in the bathroom, though I don't use this one for putting on make-up. I use the powder room upstairs instead. Hate the yellow. Wish I'd just stuck to the classic navy and white. I'm stuck. Stuck, stuck, stuck.

What is wrong with the blue on the tiles? Isn't that pretty? Or do you need a lighter colour? How about that orange in the clownfish?

The bathroom is almost done. Be happy about that.

I'm another vote against green in the bathroom- it really reflects badly on pretty much every complexion. Pink and rose tones reflect nicely. I also think the blue might be nice if it isn't a huge space...
