This film is from the U.S. Agricultural Service in 1949! I wish that the builder of MY 1949 kitchen had known about it. The corner cabinets alone are a marvel, never mind the cabinet for serving pieces over the "range." (I don't get that pot set into the stove top, though: some sort of early slow cooker?)

I also can't figure out what her "long and tedious" task is supposed to be--does anyone know?
It is worth clicking through, if you can't get it to play, here--when you have 13 minutes to spare. For some reason, I find it fascinating.
I'll be changing a few things around as a result of it, too.
