Disaster

I've painted the front bit of hallway blue. (The Foyer.)

Not all of it, mind you.

It strikes me as very bedroomy. Re-reading Maria Killiam's blog, she mentioned that if you want blue, you really need to choose a blue-grey inorder to keep things from becoming overwhelming. Wish I'd read that before I embarked on this impulsive foolishness.

I ran out of paint.

Looking into the dining room with the Knotty Pine Door That Shall Not Be Painted.

A quart of Benjamin Moore Aura cost me $28.00, (Cdn) so the next decision has to be the right one.

(Looking into the living room)

I don't know what to do.

  1. Ooh. I fear it strikes me as a bit too baby-blue. Especially when contrasted with all the wood That Shall Not Be Painted.

  2. I'm sorry but I have to agree with Anne. Perhaps Maria Killiam was onto something. But you do have to get new paint anyhow, so no disaster has happened.

Ps. I opened a blog, don't know if I'll keep it, but it's there
