Happy Turkey Day to all my American friends.
My husband has taken on painting the kitchen for me. (He has a week's vacation.) I am so thrilled.
He decided to do it one half at a time. It is amazing what a can of paint can do. The first pictures were taken Wednesday morning, the second, Wednesday night.
What was once dingy is now fresh and light. All the nickel makes sense again. I am praying it doesn't take on a pink cast of any kind.
In other news, the second shade is done. I am waiting until we paint the window frames to install it. That might happen tomorrow. I am expecting we'll be snowed in.
What do you think of painting the ceiling faintly blue?
So glad you're happy with the colour! It looks great in the photos. Can relate to your hoping it doesn't take on a pink cast - that's my number one concern when choosing paint or fabric...is there a pink tone hiding anywhere in there? If so, it's out!
ReplyDeleteNever been brave enough to paint a ceiling anything other than white...
Thanks, Marian. My poorly lit front hallway went pink after I'd painted it Edgecomb grey." The only other colour in the space comes from my poor beat up old oak floors, so that's probably why.
ReplyDeleteThis grey has a ton of yellow, a dash of red and some black in it--essentially it is a dark mustard.
Weird.
The new color looks nice!

I like the wall color! Something about a fresh coat of paint makes a smile go across my face. :) I think the blue would look good, if it was almost white with just a small dash of blue.
