We're up at 6:30am
again. We managed it yesterday and now, today. It's been my goal to "get up with Dad" and see him out the door, and here we are two days in a row. (Tomorrow, though, he wakes up at 5:30, so he'll have to see himself out.)
But that's not all. They are reading. Reading! Not watching TV/DVD's as is usual.
They wanted to.It's calm. Peaceful. What a wonderful way to start the day.
This is indeed wonderful! Yay for you! Yay for the kids! Yay for reading!
ReplyDeleteWhoo! Yay reading! And I don't know what age level they read at, but if you need a good boy-oriented series there is a series called The Dark Is Rising by Susan Cooper with good smart-kid protagonists and a lot of background in British myth and legend, I found one of the books at a yard sale and have been getting the rest at the library. That's how you know they've stood the test of time. They're still good 20 years after you first read 'em.
