Wow -- they're in such good condition! I didn't have any Dawn dolls, but I had Barbie and several of her cohorts (Francie, Skipper, Scooter, Ricky, Tutti...) They did a lot of high-jumping over the clothesline -- they were very athletic. Unfortunately they weren't as graceful coming down as they were going up, so most of them sustained broken legs (those bendable legs won't bend anymore if they land whompingly on the ground too many times) -- so even if I still had my dolls, they wouldn't be in any condition to show themselves on a blog.
The fact that yours are in such wonderful condition, and that your daughter was thrilled to receive them is just absolutely great!
I just clicked the link and read about "Dawn" - they sound like great dolls. Now I know why I didn't remember them -- they came out when I was in high school. Makes me feel old. (As did the recent realization that a little boy I used to babysit is now 40. How can that be?????) ;)
Omigoodness! I remember Dawn. Had her and also Rock Flowers, who were about the same size.

Actually, scb, that's not a picture of my dolls. I took it from the site linked. Mine isn't in bad shape, though I did cut her hair.
