1. The refrigerator is clean. Top to bottom. Inside and out.
The oldest thing I threw out: two bottles of BBQ sauce dated Feb. 04.
The most heartbreaking thing: Three large bowls of raspberries picked just before the freezer died. (This was in early August.) I had been going to make freezer jam: and I couldn't give up the idea even when we knew we wouldn't get the new one for two and a half weeks.
PS: It really is best to work from top to bottom.
SmallCityBeth gets out the pompoms and does a cheer for Alana! Yay for you, cleaning the fridge (not my favorite task in the world, but I guess I have to do it, don't I??) I'd better not find anything dated 04 in my fridge -- I only moved here in March 07!!
ReplyDeleteYeah--did you notice that pre-dates last year's cure?
ReplyDeleteOops, that didn't even occur to me! Oops!
ReplyDeleteWhen I moved out of my Boston place I found things that allegedly expired before I moved in...still trying to figure that out.
